Do you LOVE delicious, homemade, locally sourced foods? How about meeting other community members who share your passion for natural foods and healthy eating and living? We sure do!
That’s why we are SO excited to be hosting this month’s Truckee Tahoe Food Swap, which will take place on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Truckee Tahoe Food Swap is a monthly event that brings community members together to share homemade, homegrown, and foraged creations, in addition to providing an opportunity to meet others who are passionate about local, natural, homemade foods. There is really no limit to the homemade creations you can find and create to share at the food swap — it can be anything from jam, honey and olive oils to cookies, pastas, breads, eggs and fruits. It just has to be homemade and/or grown!
Last month’s swap was very creative, and included a wide range of unique and delicious specialty treats for swapping, such as: cheese crackers, apricot truffles, freshly made rice milk, spicy kale chips, delicate meringues, chocolate pudding, sourdough pizza dough, mexican-spiced chicken taco filling, craft beers galore, kombucha, handmade pasta, squash soup, herbed butter AND MORE! (Sounds delicious, right?!)
To learn more about the swaps, check out a recent blog post in which we interviewed founder Jessie Phillips! And to RSVP — you must do so today if you want to attend! — visit truckeetahoefoodswap.com!
